Collar Styles explained

The No Buckle Slide Style (NBS for short) is a style very similar to typical flat collars with a buckle... just without the buckle. This type of collar is super sleek without the bulky hardware of a metal buckle and can still be adjusted to fit snug on your pups neck. Slide it over their head, adjust if needed and then get ready for your adventure.

This style does NOT tighten with leash pressure.

Martingale collars are designed to slide over your dog's head and tighten when leash pressure is applied. The loop in the center is what helps the collar tighten around your dog's neck. Fabric Martingales are safe for all dogs because the pressure added when it tightens is distributed evenly across your dog's neck, unlike a flat collar. These collars do have a stopping point and it won't continue to close once it reaches the end of the loop. These are a safe & reliable option if your dog has a habit of slipping collars.

This style of collar is like a nice mix of a martingale and an NBS. It has the sleek look of an NBS with the benefits of tightening with leash pressure so your pup can't ever back out of it. This style will tighten with leash pressure but will stop tightening when it hits the designated end. This style is safe for all dogs to wear and will not cause harm if sized appropriately, just like the martingale.

This style of collar is similar to the Martingale & Limited slip, however this style fully tightens when leash pressure is applied. Full slips are NON adjustable as they are made to fit to slip over your pups head and then will tighten if pressure is applied. This style is perfect for dogs that are flight risks or have a tendency to try and back out of collars while on leash.

Identical usage to the regular martingale collar with the addition of metal hardware instead of a fabric loop. Chain Martingales may be more beneficial for a less bulky look when buying wider widths, as well as not worrying about the fabric potentially getting stuck and not opening fluidly.

This style of collar is what most people are more familiar with as this is the average style most retail stores sell. This is a simple flat collar that does NOT tighten with leash pressure but can adjust to fit your dogs neck nicely. This style is more beneficial for pups that dislike gear being put over their heads, / taken off their heads as this is easily put on quickly by just opening and closing the buckle while already placed on their neck.

The "Triple" layer refers to the vinyl which is an additional layer added onto most if not all styles of collars I offer. This style is for aesthetic purposes, it does not hold any additional value to a collar or the collars functionality. Be mindful that with triple layers, these come NON adjustable. Due to the extra width and potential for vinyl to crease, tri glides simply cannot fit making these collars ONE size only. Measure carefully when requesting this style of collar.
